The next day (the VERY next day) I walked into the room to find the girls jumping around naked in a pool of soapy water on the carpet! My alter ego "Mean Mommy" came out again that day. And then 2 days later Rebekah used her magical powers to somehow get my makeup out from inside my purse which was up on the kitchen counter...all without my noticing... and then she and Maija drew all over themselves with my eyeliner and lipstick. My girls spent most of the afternoon in their room that day.
We had a few days with no major disasters until the girls decided today to "decorate" Forest's nursery. I spent most of the evening yesterday getting his nursery ready so we could move Forest in there in a few weeks. Maija and Rebekah were very anxious to help me, but they were frustrated that I wouldn't let them do more. They sure got me back today. Kent found it (that's good because I'm not sure I could've handled finding yet another disaster) and had the presence of mind to take pictures before trying to clean it up. In the end, I had to repaint the wall and went ahead and repainted the playroom wall which was still greenish from the Green Permanent Marker incident.
I'm glad Kent took pictures because I'm sure someday I'll look back at all of this and laugh, but today is not that day.
(Also has pictures of my neice's baby blessing)

Someday. You'll look back and enjoy the memories. Probably not anytime soon!!!!! You are such a great mom, wife and friend!
kim, i am sorry about the frustration. if this helps. i lock my bedroom door when i am not in there, seriously. and i don't let me kids use markers, like ever because i too have had these terrible days. i buy mr. clean erasers, generic work the same and make them clean up their mess. i still have some ink pens that my daughter drew on her door frame and on her paneling. i will have to repaint one day. seriously it's so hard not to spank their cute butts when you're so mad. hope your day goes better. also, if you want to invest in the magnetic locks i have and use and lOvE let me know and i will tell you about them. they work! jenny
p.s. i hope you didn't cry today.
Poor Kimmy! The plague of toddlers strikes your house! (You should see Jennie West's walls, chests, bedsheets, children's faces. It's Ada, with Jasper's assistence)
I love your family picture! The girls have your husband's eyes, and Forest has your kissable cheeks!
Love much!
I have great friends! Thank you for being so supportive, and it does help to know that I"m not the only one :-) I know that when they're older I will wish they were 4 and 2 years old again. I really am glad that Kent took pictures of their "art" work because the intention was so sweet. Especially Maija was so excited to help decorate his nursery.
Love you all!
Kim
P.S. Yes, I did cry a few times in the last week. And, yes, magic eraser does to wonders!
Oh. My. Gosh.
If you haven't beaten them black and blue, you are a SAINT.
Way to go, looking at the intention! I'd be the same way. I've actually got to the point like Jenny said, not to have any of those markers where they could find or get them. I have a special box that they don't know about that I keep those things in! It has helped. But we've all had those disasters. Its a crazy life being a mom in the 'everyday' scheme of things!
Let us see pics of Forests room or walk over to see it!
