Quote of the Day

From my 4 year-old, Maija: "Mommy, I have to tell you about one thing that we can use. It's called Skecher shoes."

Me: "Did you see that on TV?"

Maija: "Yeah, and I thought we can use them because they light up when you stomp. And they have girl ones that I really like."

(Oh boy! Here we go. Marketing does work.)

Hey, Listen! LORIE wants some shoes that light up when she stomps. I've looked everywhere. They only make them for littles!

Normally, my kids only watch shoes on the channels that have no commercials during the shows. But sometimes Daphne watches Scoobie Doo or some other more grown up show and she shouts to me at every commercial break, "Mommy! come here quick!" and I run in there to find that she just wants to show me the newest thing she wants for her birthday. Which is every single thing she sees. I hate commericials for kids!
